Iranian protesters fight for freedom

art_tehran_protests_afp_giTake a look at what is going on in Iran. As they struggle and fight for what we have, we sit on our couches and let one man take from us what so many Americans have died for. If we do not wake up and get off our couches and get to the streets and fight just like the Iranian’s we will lose all our freedoms. Let your voices be heard, lift them up. Let the men and women who took an oath to represent us hear what we think about the mass spending, the lies, the government takeovers and more. Let us fight the good fight and say we did all that we could do to preserve the freedoms in this land. Let us not give up so easily that which was paid for not with our blood but the blood of so many that came before us. Let not their deaths be in vain but let us say that we also fought the good fight. I’ve included several quotes from the protesters in Iran that lifted my spirits in the hopes of lifting yours as well.

“The people of Iran are finally fed up with the lies, the temperament, the foolish actions of Ahmadinejad,” a 20-year-old Iranian man told CNN.

“We are fighting with our lives and the world is just watching,” said Ali, a Tehran University student who requested his last name not be used. “They see how the government is trying to silence us, how they are beating us — but they don’t come to our help. It’s OK. We will succeed, even if we have to fight alone.”
